Chevrolet Starter - Passenger and Dubl-Duti Duty Truck (Exc Powerglide)

This is the rebuilt starter for passenger cars and Dubl-Duti trucks.
The rebuild process includes:
- Fully disassembled and cleaned in parts scrubber, bead blasted and painted.
- Field coils and armature are tested to original specifications (original field coils and armature are by far superior to new after market parts).
- Field coils are rewrapped if needed.
- Armatures that fail are "rewound" at a facility in Seattle Washington.
- Good armatures are turned on a lathe and retested.
- All starters get a new drive, new bushings, new brushes and a new leather brake washer.
- The brush springs are tested and replaced if they are weak.
- All starters also get a new band to cover the brush openings in the field case.
- Each starter is tested on a 6 volt tester for amp draw, field shorts and free turning amps.
- Hardware is replaced as needed.
