This is a ring and pinion conversion 3.55:1 gear ratio. Fits 1/2 ton Chevy and GMC truck only. Bolt in for 1940-53 (1937-39 requires drive line modification). 1954 1/2 ton truck needs the correct carrier to install this conversion (spool casting #3652336--40-53, 1/2 ton trucks).
