Roger Barr's 1949 1/2 Ton

I purchased the truck in 2004, West Palm Beach, had a 305 engine, 350 trans, and a 25 foot paint job. Drove it and worked on it, got serious in 2008. Roadster Shop frame, Heights superride IFS, 4 link rear with a 9" Ford, 4 wheel power disc brakes, Coil over shocks, sway bars, power rack & pinon: Ram Jet 350 EFI crate engine, 4L60E OD transmission, Billet Specialities wheels. Cross-flow radiator with dual fans. SSB special built headers to clear custom frame. SS exhaust, etc. Body and paint completed in Clearwater FL; Color is a regular GM Corvette color, clear coat. The body has over 20 items modified very slightly to retain the original look of a 1949. Tonneau cover by Pro's Pick powered, hidden hinges, Corvette tail & backup lights, blended running boards, etc. Interior buckets from 2003 Yukon, (cut-down) center console from an OZ kit car, all leather done in Dade City FL. Vintage Air, Radio, all controls under dash and in glove compartment. 1st showing, NSRA Tampa Oct.2011, was picked by a visiting club from Argentina as their favorite, so got both a NSRA award and a Argentina award. 2nd showing was Good Guys in Charlotte, NC Nov 2011; was picked for the "Hot Hauler" award. I drive my truck to all car shows in Central FL, and have received over 40 trophy's in the past 3 years. It's not a trailer Queen. Like Roger's Truck? Leave A Comment!
