John LaRosa's 1952 Chevy Farm Truck

John LaRosa's 1952 Chevy Farm Truck

January 2018

Chevs of the 40's was most helpful in both obtaining parts and providing technical resources during the restoration of my 52 Chevrolet Farm Truck (Series 3800).  My son purchased this truck during his senior year of high school as it barely was running.  When it was time for him to move away to college, I decided that this would make a great restoration project for myself so I purchased the truck from him for $1000 which is what he paid for the truck. I decided to do a complete "frame off" restoration and intended to keep the truck as original as possible.  As you can see from the pictures, it turned out to be a beautiful old truck.  The wood on the back is reclaimed wood from Montana.  The vehicle has been 100% restored again with the help of Chevs of the 40's and I would like to be able to restore a similar truck in the near future. This was truly a family project as my two sons were involved in the build as much as possible, seen here in the photos. I hope that this beauty makes it into your featured vehicle section as I believe it is worthy of the attention. Sincerely, John K. LaRosa

Nice job on the ’52 John, we need some bigger stuff out there along with the cars & pickup’s. Have fun driving.

These are beautiful pictures! It shows what can be done. A friend and myself have been restoring a 1948 Chev Farm Truck. We are have just started and will probably not be able to continue. We have been looking for the right person to take over the project, and if John LaRosa is still interested, please contact me.
