1948 4 Door Sedan

This week we have Dethanial Hayes 1948 4 door. Dethanial's son found the car in a classified ad posted by a wrecking yard. At that time Dethanial had been looking for an old car and didn't have anything specific in mind. Once he saw the ad he knew this was what he wanted. This car was the same as the first car he had ever owned. $500 later he owned the car and so began the restoration. He made it as stock as could be and painted it the same color as the first one he owned. One spotlight and a visor were the only things separating the two cars. Restoring the car took him 10 years. Many of the parts on the car are from Chevs Of The 40's including the fender skirts and wing tips. Dethanial is part of the Veteran Motor Car Club Of America, and with them he takes part in many car meets both local and national.
