1939 Chevy Cop Car

This Month we have a 1939 Chevy cop car owned by Byron Jacobus of Vancouver, Wa. As a 6 year old boy his babysitter's father was the Constable of Woodland, Wa and he allowed Byron to ride around with him in his cop car, which in turn started his interest in cop cars. Byron hung around cops his whole life and wanted a cop car that very few had. He found his 1939 Chevy 4-Door in Green, Iowa in 2005. This particular one was equipped with a 300HP SBC and a 700R4 Tranny. He started his restoration from the ground up. With the help of our Chevs Of The 40's and Street Rod HQ catalogs he installed dual cell fuel tanks with a built in switch, Coil over suspension front and back, Power locks, Power windows, Cruise control, Tilt steering column, Kenwood stereo with navigation, and a V-Butt windshield. Only high quality parts were added to the car.
